Just curious as to what types of deodorant other men prefer. This thread is archived New comments cannot be posted and votes cannot be cast
level 1 Old Spice Stick. I typically prefer Classic, tbh. Bearglove wasn't too bad when I tried it out, though. level 2 Old Spice Stick. I typically prefer Classic What I've been doing my entire life. level 2 Same. Stick with the white bar (or whatever they're called) over the transparent blue and green ones. I noticed they would leave wet marks on my shirts and would make me very itchy. level 2 Same here but when I tried Bearglove, it got pretty odd odor after about an hour. It worked well but the scent wasn't for me. level 2 Bearglove is nice. I just moved over to it from Degree, since it has a tendency to start to stink after a short time and adding more just makes it worse. level 1 Deodorant crystal. Works great, doesn't cake or stain clothes, and those things last a long time. Even the mini-size crystals can last over a year. level 2 Damn, I haven't seen one of those since I lost mine when I was a kid.

Deodorants have been saving us (and those around us) from body odor for decades. There are many brands, designs, shapes, and scents to choose from, however, the overarching choice comes down to the application mode and its result. Spray deodorant vs stick... which is really the best? Read below for the lowdown on the difference between these deodorant forms and ultimately, which is the best one for you. Spray Deodorant: What it is & How it Works
A spray deodorant applies formula, designed to combat the bad odor caused by sweating, in the form of an aerosol spray applied directly to skin. In the past, spray deodorants were met with criticisms due to containing chlorofluorocarbons that were destructive to the ozone layer. Now, propellants such as hydrocarbons and nitrous oxide make them a safer option for both the user and the environment. Spray deodorants are applied by simply giving a short spray to clean and dry underarms. Is Spray Deodorant Good? Spray deodorants are certainly well used.
Do you prefer roll on or spray deodorant? And where do you stand in the great spray deodorant vs stick debate? You probably don't have to think twice about your answer. Although we might not discuss it very often, deodorant is important to us. It keeps sweat under control, makes us smell great and cares for our delicate underarm skin. Which is why it's important to ask: what kind of deodorant is right for you? 1
The discreet protector. When choosing between roll-on or spray, it's worth noting that roll-ons and stick deodorants are impeccably discreet. In a gym changing room, you can quietly and quickly apply your Dove Original Antiperspirant Deodorant Stick or Dove Original Antiperspirant Deodorant Roll-on without any fuss or cloud of fragrance
2
The skillful spray. On the other hand, while it may be a little less subtle, a good spray deodorant has a lot going for it. It's extremely efficient, dries within seconds and smells great

I've used Speed Stick regular for about 20 years. That was back when it was in the white container. I lived overseas for a while and switched to another brand. Now back in the US, I returned to my old favorite speed stick. Same great smell, same glide on application. Except... after about 30 minutes, it makes it itch like crazy. Ever been in a meeting and try to casually scratch your armpits? Can't be done. I'm not sure what they did to the formula, but it's certainly not the same. I've used it for about 2 months now, thinking maybe my body just needed to re-adjust to this brand again. Nope. Still everyday itchy. I've emailed Colgate Palmolive and we'll see what they say, but I'm guessing I've got 5. 75 containers of this stuff that I'll never use. I have used this DEODORANT since.. Well as long as I can remember!..
It has multiple benefits:
Stick deodorant is dry when it's applied so you can
wait a little less time before getting dressed; As with roll-on deodorant, the product can be
applied to an exact area, so therefore achieve stronger results. It can also be
applied in confined spaces as there's no
need to spray; The compact size of stick deodorant makes it
ideal for on-the-go freshness. Stick deodorant is solid which means it is ideal
for airport security as it's not classed as a liquid so no need to include it
in your maximum 100ml liquid bag. How to use deodorant
Applying deodorant is as an essential part of your morning
routine as hitting the snooze button or cleaning your teeth, but did you know
how you apply deodorant can make a huge difference to how effective it is? You can find out how you can get the most out of your

Since this is a key ingredient to help prevent sweating, the efficacy of natural antiperspirants is questionable. Instead, try out a few different brands to see which works best with your own body chemistry. Considerations Whether you choose spray or stick antiperspirants, no product will make a significant difference if you don't practice sensible hygiene habits. Shower every day and apply antiperspirant onto completely dry skin. Such habits are especially important during puberty, when your sweat glands increase in activity. You can use a little spatula or scoop, or just your fingers, to apply a small amount to those pits. Massage the cream into your underarms entirely, and you're ready to go. Cream vs. Stick
While cream and stick deodorant fundamentally may not seem very different, the type of protection they provide is generally where the two vary. Cream deodorants tend to be just that: a deodorant. Where stick deodorants typically fall under the category of antiperspirant instead. Antiperspirants use chemicals like aluminum salts to clog your pores and stop you from sweating all together. However, sweat itself actually doesn't stink. And, sweating's one of our body's ways of ridding itself of toxins. So, no sweat's not good. Cream deodorant's work to fight any bad B. O. caused by sweat and bacteria on our skin interacting. And, most cream deodorants tend to stay on the natural side of things, giving your skin a break from harsh chemicals and alcohols that can really take their toll. Another added bonus of cream deodorants: they tend to last longer.
If heavily applied your pores may get blocked over time and in some cases, may cause inflammation of the skin. Spray Deodorant vs Stick Deodorant
In the stick deodorant vs spray debate, who will be using the product and what they will be doing is key. If you'll be flying or want a discreet application, then the winner of deodorant spray vs stick is definitely the stick. Equally, if your priority is protection when exercising hard or you live in a warm, humid climate, then the stick deodorant is for you. This is provided that you don't mind the possibility of some residue and a slightly longer drying time. Stick deodorant is also generally kinder to those with sensitive skin, although specialized spray products are available. If the stick deodorant vs spray discussion is focused on a quick-drying and clean application, spray is your go-to. Spray deodorant is a great option for those who find residue left on clothes to be a big issue, on dress shirts for example. Spray is perfect for use in the morning at home where the scent and vapor will not bother others.
