CSCC students, through Service Learning, provide added enrichment opportunities for The Ark of Cleveland, Inc. pets. Whether it is bathing dogs, brushing cats, or special environmental projects, everyone involved benefits. Over the years several students have become regular Ark volunteers, after their needed service hours were completed. For a small all volunteer shelter, this is an excellent recruitment venue. Sherry Holloway and Brooklyn Sewell go the extra mile to ensure this program remains vital and a "win win win" for everyone. Thanks for your partnership! Bob Caylor, Shelter Director, The Ark of Cleveland, Inc. July 12, 2017

John Carroll University 4 Year University Heights, OH Rating 3. 57 out of 5 812 reviews #3 Best Colleges in Cleveland Area Junior: I love it at John Carroll! We have a beautiful campus in a safe area with great academics and many unique, cultural and fun things to do in the Cleveland area. Professors here are easy to interact with, they care about students and they really take an interest in helping students succeed. Class sizes are small, and there are many leadership, research, internship, study abroad and immersion opportunities. I have met the nicest people here and while the academics are challenging, people here always step up and support each other. JCU provides fun and unique activities for students on campus and the athletic teams are always good. John Carroll is well ranked with a strong reputation and alums have gone on to much success. People think smaller schools are not fun, but there is so much to do on and off campus that the college experience is enhanced and the good times are many.
I always feel safe on campus due to the emergency features around the Kent State Campus. All in all, I love Kent State University and I would recommend it to anyone! It has a great college feel, and from the moment I walked in I met my forever friends and it's felt like home ever since! They may also take virtually monitored exams online, where a proctor watches via webcam or where computer software detects cheating by checking the test-takers' screens
