Covid keeps hitting hard and I've been trying my best to find a job that's actually supportive and pays well. I applied for a sales associate position against my better judgement, but was making sure to check out everything about the company I could get my hands on. They'd seemed to check out, website was well-formatted and the info matched up with everything else, their social media had been up for over a year with frequent, but not multiple per day, posts, and they had hella reviews that actually sounded legit. In hindsight now, the reviews were probably made by employees or some shit. I got through the first interview, and red flag number one: despite being in sales, the interviewer didn't know what cold calling was... Ok, so that's uhm... huh. But I'm desperate, and the possibility of it being an mlm had yet to cross my mind. The job was described exactly like every other sales job I've had (not a field I enjoy, but one I am good at) Interview number two, the next morning. An employee that wasn't in any of their media shows up for the interview, interesting considering how many photos they posted of what was supposedly the whole team, but not a major red flag.
